The Capillaries is a band fronted by Nashville native Matt Southworth. I met via the Dear 23 email list and we became fast penpals. Matt went to college at WKU in Bowling Green about a year before I did, we both lived in Nashville and we both loved the same bands. Matt left LA to move to Seattle in February 2002. Since Matt and I loved the same bands, it was inevitable that we would start jamming together. Matt soon met Jon Wooster, another singer-songwriter at an open mic. Jon soon obtained a bass and we three became the Seattle version of The Capillaries. We played a few shows and recorded an album, all while I was still playing with Vegas In Flames. Due to the birth of my second son, I left The Capillaries, who have continued on with a new drummer and a second guitarist. You can still hear my version of The Capillaries on their debut album Overnight Lows and Daylight Savings.
